Cloning a Deal

Need to be able to clone an individual deal. This is helpful for recurring revenue organizations and building MRR. Please!

As a "third-party provider," I can very much assure you that we do not have any kind of deal with HubSpot nor do we have any information about their plans regarding this feature. We simply saw a need and created a simple widget to address it. We charge a small fee to try to cover our costs (which we haven't).

Similar to @aalthaus_revriv , our duplicating app Clone Attack is in no way related to HubSpot. We simply charge a fee for the development, maintenance, and support of the app. Our goal is to fill in the gaps that HubSpot has, duplicating items being one of them. 

Our dupilcation via workflow support comes out next week, and hopefully that will round out the needs of the community!

Bravo to the app makers for stating the above...

It kind of makes things worse, as there is now not even a commercial "excuse" for HS to have not addressed this.

I will however look into the abovementioned solutions!

We use Rev River, they are very nice, and it works well.  I hear very good things about Clone Attack also.  I don't want them to necessarily lose business but it is mystifying that such a basic function is missing in Hubspot and is ignored by the folks making product development decisions. 

The Hubspot reps can duplicate deals but from what I understand they have special coding or modules that allows them to copy the deals.

We also use Revenue River and have been for about 2 years. It's very easy and inexpensive and they continue to add great features. Works seamlessly and saves a ton of time.

If you have OperationsHub, you can use the Custom Code step and it is fairly easy to then clone a deal and clone line items (we do this and I am happy to share an example). Admittedly, this should be a basic function and not require the custom code step in the workflow and should be an option in the regular create record step in the workflow.

I'm still waiting for an official response from HubSpot. Someone named Dylan as the Product Manager. Dylan can you provide an update on this feature request in short term? Why is it difficult for HubSpot to develop such a basic functionality?

Hi all, I've got some news to share: we've released a big update to our original Deal Duplicator app to now include AUTOMATION! We've taken an IFTTT (if this, then that) approach to make it exceptionally simple for you to establish the rules by which deals should be duplicated.

We've also been hard at work on a rebrand, so you'll see some exciting changes to the interface as well for a more intuitive experience.
