We've started using Quotes (it is very good) but one thing that frustrates is that if the customer requests one small change to a quote before signing you have to redo the whole quote.
We'd like to suggest:
- Ability to clone a quote to a new quote draft
- Draft opens at beginnig of workflow but with all fields fillled in as per previous version.
- Version codes could even be automated.
We understand why the original quote can't be edited, but a clone function would help alleviatea fairly thankless repetitive task, which is, after all, what Hubspot is all about!
My name is Nicoline and I am the new PM who manages Quotes. It sounds like there are a few requests here that I want to provide updates for.
1) Being able to edit a quote once it's published (i.e. a customer asks for an edit) --> This is available under Actions > Recall & edit. You can edit and publish the quote (the URL will stay the same).
2) Being able to clone a quote once it's published --> This is available under Actions > Clone. You can create an entirely new quote based on the pre-existing quote.
3) Clone a quote and associate a new deal --> This is not available and is not something that is currently on our roadmap, but the feedback is helpful as we consider the future of quotes and the relationship between quotes and deals.

@NBach This is really disappointing. My use case: we sell to franchise restaurants. We have to create new deals for each franchisee who orders. For one particular customer, I have 709 deals, all with very similar items. It would be so time-saving to clone the deal and the associated quote. Please reconsider!
This is not progress. We all need the ability to associate a quote to a different Deal. How many users need to pile on to this request for it to be put on the roadmap? No one from HubSpot has ever said why this feature will not be added. It surely is not from lack of requests from users. HubSpot can do better.
@NBachthanks for answering, as @jj12stars my use case have very similar items over diferent deals and it would be so time-saving to Clone a quote and associate a new deal, As long as the system does not allow this feature, the sales team will waste a lot of time creating quotes from scratch that they already created for a different customer. Please reconsider putting this feature on the roadmap, it would greatly help multiple companies that have commented on this idea.
We have a published quote for company A. Now, company B needs more or less the same quote. We can clone the existing quote, but are unable to connect it to a new deal/ a new company. That's really frustrating. We have to create more or less the same, very long quote, again for all new costumers.
