Clone Deal Pipelines

DCL

Hubspot Team,

Would be great to be able to clone Deal Pipelines or have Deal Pipeline templates as many of our pipelines are similar and now we are manually reacreating pipelines that are simlar or identiacal to other pipeleines.

Thanks,

Hi everyone,

I’m a product manager at HubSpot and I'm very pleased to announce that this feature has been Delivered to all Pro/Enterprise customers. See how to clone pipelines for more information.

We could not have built this feature without your help. Thank you all for taking the time to submit, vote and comment on this Idea.

Also, in case you missed it: you can already clone individual records.See Knowledge Base article

👋 Hello fellow community members!

I'm excited to share that we're currently running a private beta for a new pipeline cloning feature. While the beta is temporarily paused, we’re actively working to include support for custom pipeline workflows before resuming access.

If you’re interested in trying out this feature, you can still request to join this beta now. Once support for custom workflows is ready, we’ll begin approving new participants.

Cheers,
Jeannie

Hi all, thanks for sharing your feedback. I'm seeing two different requests in the comments:

  1. Ability to clone a pipeline
  2. Ability to clone a record (i.e. deal)

For the first one (original idea), I'm curious to understand why you'd want to clone a pipeline. If you have two pipelines with the exact same stages, we don't recommend separating the pipelines, as outlined in this Knowledge Base article. That's the best practice for segregating pipelines, especially if you want to avoid hitting your pipeline limit.

@DCL Thanks for your follow up! There are a few important things to consider here:

1. Things that seem easy may not be. There may be downstream implications in other part of the product or unforseen technical challenges to work through.
2. There are a certain number of resources available to all of us (engineering, hours in a day, etc.). In order to be effective we need to increase focus on the work that benefits our customers most. There are hundreds of ideas on the forum worthy of consideration, but in order to build a great product we cannot work on all of them.
3. For everything we add to HubSpot, we are adding to the list of things our customers need to understand to use the system. With this comes an increased maintenance cost.

It's not that this idea will never be delivered. Instead, I wanted to be as transparent as possible that this is not something we plan to deliver in the immediate future.

Hello HubSpot Community,

Thank you as always for your continued feedback, it helps us build a great product.

We are constantly evaluating and re-evaluating our priorities and roadmap to deliver as much value to our customers as possible. At this time cloning a pipeline
is not something our team is currently planning to build natively into HubSpot. This is certainly subject to change in the future and we will update this idea if that becomes the case.

Dylan,

Why not? It seems like easy programming to clone pipelines and so many of us are asking for it. Usually, Hubspot has justification for doing and not doing things.

Thanks

Thanks for the detailed info and transparency.

This is a must have!

There's a lot of time invested in created pipes including automation so not sure how come many other things can be cloned and not pipelines. Probably some dependencies but this is a crucial feature.

thanks!

Would love to see this feature too,

Cloning makes loads of sense, even in small orgs going at direct and channel. 100% support developing cloning of pipelines.

Também acho essa uma ótima ideia! Há vários lugares onde posso clonar ferramentas, como modelos, fluxos de chatbot, snippets.

Etapa de pipelines também deveria ser uma opção e nos ajudaria super.

Still really useful in 2020 🙂

This is a common requirement for us also, we use often as we have common deals across different pipelines and dont want to have to type everything out again.

I agree. I need to do this for service tickets. Need to duplicate for each zip code as we expand our reach.

I have multtiple sales pipelines. When setting up my pipelines, I change / customize all the stages. When I go create a new pipeline, the HubSpot default stages appear again and I have to customize all over again, each stage manually. Would be great to have the option to change the default stages OR at least the option to clone a pipeline along with custom stages.

definitely need the ability to clone any pipeline (inc stages and all associated properties), then adjust the cloned piepline as needed (rename, adjust stages, associate different properties etc)

Hi! I would just like to echo support for this. Also is there a way to edit the default Pipeline Stages?

+1 for this please.

We run the exact same pipeline 3 times a year, with 10+ stages and multiple properties required at each stage of movement in the pipeline.

It takes a good half hour to copy across all the pipeline stages and required properties.

It's insane that there isn't a cloning option, or even the ability to create a template.

The ability to clone pipelines would be incredibly useful. Some of our clients have multiple, similar pipelines, and it is a pain to start over from scratch each time.

Going to spend a few hours cloning my 2021 pipelines to 2022... sure seems like a quick backend feature.

Guys, any update on this ?

Even a pipeline TEMPLATE option would be a start...

Manually replicating every single stage is such a time suck.
