Clone Deal Pipelines

DCL

Hubspot Team,

Would be great to be able to clone Deal Pipelines or have Deal Pipeline templates as many of our pipelines are similar and now we are manually reacreating pipelines that are simlar or identiacal to other pipeleines.

Thanks,

This would be a huge time saver. I have another couple of Pipelines to create and am not looking forward to the manual entry of each Stage.

I love this idea, would be extremely helpful when recreating the same pipeline for different services. Thanks!

Hello Product team - this would really be incredibly useful. especially if we were able to clone the deal stages & associated fields we have included or required per deal stage. It would sure save me a lot of time!

Agreed that this would be VERY helpful! When will this happen?

Agreed. The ability to clone pipelines would be very useful. I undersand other projects being prioritized, but it's a bit suprising that this is still not a feature, given that it was originally raised as an idea in 2017

Its been 7 years since this idea was suggested and it's still not available. This is crazy to me considering how time-consuming creating each pipeline is,

Lol, originally submitted 2017 and in March of 2024 still not even on the roadmap. And y'all wondering why we get annoyed AF when support suggests the ideas forum to us 😂

Hi all, thanks for sharing your feedback. I'm seeing two different requests in the comments:

  1. Ability to clone a pipeline
  2. Ability to clone a record (i.e. deal)

For the first one (original idea), I'm curious to understand why you'd want to clone a pipeline. If you have two pipelines with the exact same stages, we don't recommend separating the pipelines, as outlined in this Knowledge Base article. That's the best practice for segregating pipelines, especially if you want to avoid hitting your pipeline limit.

My interest is in cloning deals primarily allowing to make a minor edit without having to enter everything from scratch.
So where I have the same client and a new deal but the basic info is all the same I may need to just change a part number and deal name rather than enter everything from scratch. I may wish to clone a deal in one pipeline and have also in another pipeline. I don't think I would ever clone a whole pipeline.

Hi JeannieN,
In our company's use-case, we are a company that works leads for multiple
companies.
Although our company works with these companies, they do not work together,
so providing specific and adequate reporting, and appropriate team access, requires us to use multiple
pipelines.

These pipelines have specific field requirements per deal stage to help
provide context to our end users regarding what to fill out when.
Recreating this from scratch becomes tedious when trying to launch a new
project with a new partner/company.

It would be a huge benefit and time saver to be able to clone a pipeline,
and then make smaller changes as needed with our partnership's needs in
mind.

I hope this helps clarify why this request is important to this admin - I'm
happy to connect for more clarity if that's useful

Thanks!

Like mentioned above.. the ability to clone a pipeline addresses multiple use-cases.. among others the posibility of using the pipeline as a start and do changes or even use the same one..  For example you have several sales reps and each want to manage their deals in their own pipelines, you don't want to create from scratch each of them. They can be indentical in stages and automations.
