I received my first chat through the bot a few days ago, but I realized that my real first name, last name, and my profile picture were displayed. Unfortunately, the visitor was a scam. For security and privacy reasons, it would be nice to be able to set up a nickname and eventually a different profile picture just for the chatbot that could be different from the ones used in our Hubspot user profile.
I'm happy to report, there is now an option available in the chat builder, on the display tab, that can be selected to allow company branding to override displaying individual user information. Thus, protecting employees from having their personal information exposed to the world. This link will take you to the KB doc that confirms. I've also included screenshots below:
