Caller ID feature for iOS Mobile App

Android mobile phone users can connect their Hubspot contacts, so when a prospect/contact calls they can see who is calling.

This isn't the case for iPhone users. Can this feature be available on iOS?

To follow "Guidelines for posting," I'm sure the Who will use this, What value and examples have been mapped out for this feature for Android. So would suggest to apply that to the rest of the your mobile application users who are on iPhones.

At the very least, there needs to be a way to field inbound calls from known HubSpot contacts via the HubSpot mobile app so they can be logged and/or recorded from the mobile device.  I deally, there should be a feature that recognizes inbound calling numbers for both known HubSpot contacts and recent outbound calls using the HubSpot dialing feature.

@vishnu I have the same issue. iOS fully updated and newest version of the Hubspot app - calls from contacts are not triggering the app. Would be amazing to see this working soon, so do keep us posted!

Hi all - thanks for the feedback here. One thing to note is that it is the Phone Number and Mobile Phone Number properties that are used to trigger Caller ID (on both iOS and Android). Additionally these numbers need to be in the E.164 format (https://www.twilio.com/docs/glossary/what-e164)

The Knowledge Base documentation is updated to clarify this - https://knowledge.hubspot.com/mobile/enable-caller-id-in-the-hubspot-mobile-app#enable-caller-id-ios

Hi @vishnu ,

Thanks for clarifying that numbers must be in the E.164 format - that did the trick for us. However, we now have the issue that phone numbers are always typed without our country code in front (i.e. 12345678 instead of +4512345678). Is there a handy trick to automatically update these via workflows?

@vishnu, our reps are using the mobile app via ios and Android. We have been actively putting in contacts using the recommended format but this does not work every time there is an incoming call. We've discovered that it depends on the carrier. For example, it may recognize AT&T but not Verizon callers. Really hope that this idea was not closed because it would be nice to eventually have that worked out.

Thanks.

The HubSpot inbound caller ID on iPhones is still an issue.   It does not present the inbound caller ID for all of the cellphone providers.   It needs to be fully functioning with Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T Mobile.   Please please please get this fixed.

Hi guys,

As an alternative solution for the time being you could explore using Cradle.

https://app.hubspot.com/ecosystem/3924364/marketplace/apps/sales/calling/cradle

The IOS app for Cradle is on par with the desktop version of the softphone and has an enriched caller-id functionality to bring up the contact details, life cycle stage, and the company of incoming calls that exist in the HubSpot system.

Thanks.
