I need to mark a date in the future to make sure that my team will be able to end any activity on the right date. For example: If a person fills a property informing that the payment was approved, I need to inform the last date when this should happen. For example, ten days after it.
I would love to use workflow to be able to do it, but I'm open to use properties as well.
This would be beneficial for our company too but with a very different use case. When a piece of hardware is sold, it will automatically calculate the warranty expiry date.
Yes, I'm in on this, I'd like to forecast a shipping date based on the order close date and estimated production times - would be massively helpful in forecasting future revenue & cash, plus giving my team visibility into delivery dates that can be communicated to our customers.
since we had the common need to find a solution to this problem, we have published in the HubSpot marketplace "Future Date Calculator" app. The app adds a new deal-based workflow action that enables you to dynamically include a line item in an already existing deal.
The Future Date Calculator app automatically populates a property with a future date based on another chosen date property. Furthermore, it calculates the number of days until the specified date, so all you need to do is enter the desired number of days.
Try it and send us a feedback! We're constantly working on new features for this app, every feedback would be very helpful.
I'd really like to use this to add together two properties on a deal record. In my case, it's the deal close date and a customer field in weeks I've created. As it stands, using a fixed value for 'Amount to add' doesn't provide the flexibility that I need in this case.
Any chance that could be included? Or maybe someone could give me some guidance on how a more sophisticated workflow could do the heavy lifting for me?
