How come we can't add "cost per unit" as a percentage of price, like we can for discounts? This seems like something that is pretty basic and we've been disappointed that this hasn't been added yet. For companies that sell based on a margin, like insurance agents, real estate agents, and investment managers, we can't automatically calculate the the cost per unit and margin.
Somewhat related, why can't we add in a commission which further reduces the profit margin? It seems this teamed with the cost per unit as a percentage would create a very robust system.
Currently when creating a product, the price of this product or service can only be defined as an absolut EUR value (or other currencies). In our case we want to sell a service, which is priced with a % based of the final selling price of a property, e.g. 1,5% of the selling price for a property in Munich, which might be sold for 500.000 € or 520.000 €, etc. --> resulting in either 7.500 € or 7.800 € worth of our service.
Therefore I would like to reccomend, that when creating a product there should also be the possibility to define the price of this product / services as % and not only as an absolute € value.
Our company charges a % fee of the total Deal amount. However, Hubspot only allows adding line items based on a dollar amount. I contacted the support team and they mention the system only allows to input percentages as discounts. We do not operate with fixed unit costs, each deal has a different amount but the fee is always the same. Does anybody know a solution for this?
We currently invoice our clients by commission but in order to start using the quotes & products feature in Hubspot we need to be able to set up products using commission / percentage.
It would be great if we could have this as a feature.
Agreed all around. We need to evaluate our margin based on percentage, not dollars, and this lack of capability is holding us back from using the quote system.
This feature is much needed and would be incredibly helpful. We currently have to provide both a quote and a separate document with only percentage-based pricing, which looks unprofessional to not have everything in one place for the customer to sign.
The customer is looking to create a property for different line items as they receive different percentages of kickbacks per item. However, at the moment, it appears that we can only create a calculation property for deal MRRs, instead of creating a calculation property for each line item
