Business Unit Customisation: Time, Date and Currency
It's crazy to have a feature such as Business Units, to support large organisations, but then restrict the dates, times and currencies to the master account.
In our case, we have a business with Business Units set up across multiple countries and timezones. Unfortunately, we cannot set the correct currency for deals or the local timezone settings for the web chat tool.
I completely agree—it’s frustrating that the Business Units feature limits local currency and time zone settings to the master account. For organizations operating in multiple countries, having customizable settings is crucial for accurate financial reporting and effective communication.
Currency and Time Zone Challenges: The inability to set local currencies means deals may not reflect the actual economic context, and not being able to configure time zones can lead to confusion in customer interactions.
Suggestions: Request Enhancements: It might be worthwhile to submit feedback to the software provider to emphasize how these restrictions impact operations. Temporary Workarounds: In the meantime, consider maintaining a centralized document for currency conversions and time zone adjustments. Customizable settings at the business unit level would significantly improve functionality and user experience for multinational organizations.
