It should be possible to bulk edit the associated company property for multiple contacts. At the moment, you need to change this one-by-one, which is unnecessarily tedious.
This idea should definitely be integrated as a standard feature. If you can associate via an import, you should be able to remove associations. It's a no-brainer!
This would make changing associations a lot easier, since it is also not possible to change associations via workflows yet. Would be important for all object associations, not just company to contact. Also the option to remove object associations in bulk would be helpful.
Hi all - just an update to say that HubSpot are working on association label editing and removal via workflows. This is currently in Beta. I've not yet tested but assuming that this could be used to solve this painpoint (and others) without needing to pay for an external app. Although you would require pro and up to use the workflows.
Any updates on this idea? This idea was submitted years ago with 159 upvotes...
This would greatly reduce the manual work. We've tried exporting and re-importing the list of contacts with the new company record ID but just added another company association to the contacts which made it worse to manage records.
@Jonno_Price - you win for pointing this one out. I can confirm that it does work. I made a simple workflow to apply an association label "remove_association" and then to remove the label and association by checking the box "Remove all associations between records that have this label".
