Be able to set "Restorable delete" as the default option when deleting a Contact from the record
I'd like to request a new feature that would make a significant difference in the way we manage our contacts. I believe that by implementing this feature, we can save time and reduce the risk of accidental deletions.
The ability to set “Restorable delete” as the default option (based on user-preference) when deleting a contact from their record (Action > Delete). Currently, the default option is “Permanent delete,” which can be risky if a user accidentally deletes a contact. With this feature, users will have a safety net in case they delete a contact by mistake.
This NEEDS to be added. I have permanently deleted multiple contacts by accident and it's very frustrating as there's no way to reverse this or add the contact back.
Strongly wish for "restorable delete" to be the default selection, not because of "accidental deletion" rather it's less permanent. I've never been asked by a prospect or customer to permanently delete their data, yet I've been doing so knowingly in hubspot because it's the default option when I am quickly updating all my opt out requests. I recently realized that now when I try to use my salesforce data leads with hubspot (the lead came back to us as interested as frequently happens in my business) there is a huge challenge to get hubspot to use that email again. I'm not even sure it's possible to do so, but I now see this may be a big challenge for me working with these future re-interested prospects that I may have permanently deleted years prior. It's hard enough to get a prospect to opt back in after they return three years later but this permanently deleted presents another "have to figure out how to do this" obstacle I have no time to do.
