Automatically Switch User Chat Statuses to Away at End of Day

One common mistake by some users is that they leave themselves as available for chat and are then automatically assigned chats when they are technically not available.

 

It would be great to have the option to automatically set users chat status to away based on a specific schedule.

 

For example, when our US team members are signing off for the day at 6 PM Central, their chat status should change to away if currently available.

 

When our UK team members are signing off for the day at 12 PM Central, their chat status should change to away if currently available.

 

This can be configured by users and/or teams to specify the different times to set as away.

Good morning, everyone! We are working on building out user working hours, and you can learn more about the upcoming feature here. We anticipate this feature being available for beta in March. At this time, the main focus is conversation or ticket routing and scheduled meetings. Our next priority is to add out of office as well, and that will come later in 2024.

Agreed. Additionally it would be useful to mark bank holidays or specific non-working days for such instance where a user forgets to mark themselves as away.
If it's not between the business hours on business days then it should default to away with the option to manually override perhaps with a warning about impacted bots (I imagine there may be an instance where this is required such as testing a new bot).
