Automatic reply to whatsapp messages

A new option has been added to add business whatsapp to Hubspot. A nice option.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to send an automatic reply when someone sends us a message. Most companies reply something like, "thanks for your message. We will reply to you as soon as possible'.

Maybe someone has already come up with a workaround but we haven't managed it yet.

Hi everyone! My name is Hallie, and I'm a Program Manager on our CXM Team. After connecting with our Product Team regarding this request, I am marking this as 'Alternative Solution' because there is an available alternative option that solves for this need! 

 

Customer Agent allows you to connect to WhatsApp to send an automated follow-up message when no one is available to respond. Specifically, you can adjust the messaging for this in the "Customize hand-off messages" section of the Customer Agent. You'll have options to customize the text your customers see when no one on your team is available, as well as when it's handed off to someone, and more. 

We hope this helps! If any additional moves are made for autoresponder options, I'll update you all on this thread. 🙂

Agreed! If we could have an Out-Of-Office message similar to how Chats has an 'Away' or 'Outside working hours' message that would help a lot!

It is absolutely necessary. And that the response (chosen button) could be registered as a response from a given contact property.

It would also be interesting to be able to talk from the Contact Activity and not only from the Inbox.

When you connect the Whatsapp channel, you loose the option to access to the app, and with that you also loose essential features like "auto reply" messages (ex: "out of office").

 

Hubspot could build this feature so when someone write a whatsapp message outside business hours, it send an automatic message to the user.

The current version is very limited and I'm looking at better options until Hubspots gives it more attention.

 

Do you want to know what we all really want? Integrate it with a large language model like GPT4 and allow us to train it with our products, blogs and knowledgebase. That would be an amazing tool.

 

Then you can replace the very limited functionality of Chatflow and messenger as well.

This is really needed to send our out of office messages! The WhatsApp HubSpot integration is currently not very useful for our business.

 

Please HubSpot, I think this is a missed opportunity.
