We use a specific tax % on every quote so it should be possible to set a standard and e.g. add a 19% tax on every quote created automatically.
Hey folks - Ethan here, product manager for the Product Library. Apologies for the missed quarter of updates. I want to let you know that this feature is not on our roadmap for this quarter (Q3, 2022). HOWEVER, we are actively doing research into how to enable a basic tax library that would be the foundation for something like this. I can't give you an exact deadline, but please know it's top of mind for us.
As a sidenote, I'll be updating the top Ideas associated with Products and Line Items ~once per quarter going forward. I will include (1) whether or not a feature is on the roadmap for that quarter or not and (2) what our rollout plan for that feature is (e.g. will there be a beta or not). If you have feedback about additional information I could include in these updates, drop a note here. If I see a theme, I'll adjust my updates to address that.
I won't be doing this for every idea, but most ideas above 100 kudos will get this treatment. Previously, I had been trying to do it for ideas greater than 25 upvotes, but unfortunately the volume is too high to be practical.
Auto-calculation of tax by region would be a great addon, but setting a default tax rate is really necessary.
Seconded. Please add an auto tax feature!
We too would like an auto addition of tax for Products and Services in Singapore. We charge a price + tax but it is open to mistakes if the tax has to be calculated and added manually, which then runs the risk of quotes being rejected (especially if linked to a 'Purchase Now' button.
The ability to set a set of country default tax % is required
That would be awesome if we could indicate if our prices are taxed or without.
Real problem for our teams not being able, to change the name of the column to say what is the amount of money asked
Yes. Even to add it as a template setting would be great.
Yes - would also need this feature!
Would be more than necessary !
This is time consuming and easy to make errrors, please change it fast so we users get happy!!
Agreed. Being able to set a default tax rate is a no-brainer.
Yes please. A must for use in Aus GST is always 10%. having it as a default selection for quotes will save a lot of human error.
Default tax rate would be excellent!
Would love to see this set up on a settings level <in SALES> PRODUCTS/QUOTES> as a toggled switch that 'locks' one tax rate for quotes as I understand other businesses also need the flexibility to change tax rates depending on the nature of their business.
Same. UK VAT is 20% and we need this on every quote we send out.
Same, this is a must really.
Wir brauchen diese Funktion dringend!
A great implementation for the Hubspot quotes would be the possibility of setting the tax shown in the quotes as mandatory when we wish or also setting it up by default would be very helpful.
For instance, in a business that always has a 20% Tax, having it set by default would save time from the salesperson to input this information everytime they create a new quote. Moreover, that could avoid mistakes or oblivion.
Agreed, hope this post gets traction soon enough as we've come too close to making mistakes.
Auto tax is a basic function of any quoting tool.
.... thanks in advanced HubSpot Dev team
Agree with this too, we're based in the UK and need to automatically set the VAT on all quotes that get sent out - as other commenters have said it would be great to have this as a setting in Sales rather than manually typing in.
As our team are dealing with a number of quotes a day we have to rely on them remembering to set the VAT every time - it's all too easy to forget when you're busy.
Same here - this is a must for quoting, especially to alleviate any errors due to not applying or miscalculating tax.
Yep, static % tax, is exactly also what we would need.
Yes, please add automatic tax in %, which is automatically preselected while creating an offer!
Adding this to all of our offers avoids a lot of monkey business.
Like a previous user wrote: this is an absolute nobrainer and basic-must-have feature!
