Automatic adding of TAX (VAT) when creating quotes

We use a specific tax % on every quote so it should be possible to set a standard and e.g. add a 19% tax on every quote created automatically.

Benefits:

  1. Saves times
  2. Avoid mistakes

HubSpot shouldn't even offer a payment option without the ability to handle taxes. They should try to work with a company like Avalara. Our company uses them for handling the complexity of State taxes in the U.S.

Don't forget your Canadian customers Mostly Quebec ones) who are forgetten in the taxes, we have two taxes here. We try everything to have it works. We finally using a dummy client to calculate our taxes and doing a manual additions. Results of our missing taxes, the quotes integration with Quickbooks is not working with the Canadian versions. When we bought HS, all these appears as working is your publicities.
Results now, we spend 10k to be able to have it working and we are spending extra money to keep 2 others softwares we used to automate ours processes.

Please think about your Canadian clients.

With this app you can add Taxes to quotes automatically via Hubspot Workflows. It adds Add tax action to Workflows - https://www.resonatehq.com/hubspot-quote-tools

I have to agree with all the other posts we are a UK business that sell to UK business, need to add 20% VAT on each quote and not being to have it added as default just adds a possible costly error.

We need a default tax rate as well. It's very problematic not having it and adds so much space for mistakes. It pushes us to use a free tool for quoting as of the moment, which is a shame cause we pay so much for our Hubspot account. Please do something !

Absolutely needed, this will allow for less errors and manual work.

We think the same, so close to perfection and they are working on stuff we don’t need… we cannot use the quote parts of HS, we make our quotes on Quickbooks, it’s only acceptable but it’s working.
One of these days, someone will try to be in their customers mindset. French Canadian here sorry for my writing. HS cost 40% more with our bad exchange rate…

Agree with all the other posts we are a UK business that sell to UK business, need option to add 20% VAT on each quote automatically - surely this wouldn't be a huge ask considering the cost of Hubspot's service to it's users.

Agree Agree Agree with this idea! And if we can have a line with the subtotal without VAT (just before), it will be fantastic!

why oh why is this taking so long to sort out !!! we just need a field in the settings to add a % tax value that will be added automatically to each quote - Not rocket science !!!

This request has been going on for years now so when will this be done

Incredible that such a simple feature is still not available almost 4 years after the initial request.

We also think seriously, we are meeting a rep this afternoon, HB are a lot more active on the sale... Support and customers request has low importance. We are a number... Spending so much energy...

Agreed, feature is really needed.

I want a "% VAT by default" field in the Product object please.
> and that in the “quotation creation” step.

if % VAT by default <> NULL then insert VAT (product*% VAT by default)

> I don't understand what the difficulty is - This request is almost 4 years old.

Yes, please add automatic tax in %, which is automatically preselected while creating a Quote. This ensures it is not missed
