Auto-Save on Notes

It would be great to have the capability to auto-save notes.  I have lost some intel due to glitches in not being to save the note. Latest example was a note I took in a tab that sat for two days.  When I went back to that tab I realized the note was still up so I tried to save it but couldn't and the only option was to x-out.  I failed to copy the text so it is now gone forever.

 

Another idea would be the capability to collaborate with your team in real time.  Similar to Google Docs.  A guy can dream.

An autosave for notes needs to be a top PRIORITY.  If my team loses notes one more time, we will seriously consider other options.  There is literally autosaver for this community chat but not for record notes??  This is just not acceptable.  PLEASE FIX ASAP.  Thanks.

ABSOLUTELY!! This is killing me. I lose notes regularly because of this and I am starting to lose sales.
In a world where we all have 10+ tabs open at all times, there is no way we can be expected to click "save" in order to not loose dire information.

Help us out here.

Just spent 45 minutes on a handoff note to CS. I must've lost internet at some point, because I went to Save the Note and got an error message of "Failed to Save Note". I tried everything, but it was gone.

 

Please auto-save notes!!

Hey HS - you are literally a CRM platform.  Think you would know the fastest way to lose customers is to ignore them.  How about a reply here?

I've just noticed that we're way off the mark on upvotes. We need to get to c. 200-300 to get any interest!

I just lost critical date from notes because it doesn't autosave. I cannot think of a single other company that has a product that no longer autosaves. It makes HubSpot look like a failing company. Who would invest in a company that can't figure out autosave when every other company has?

Struggled with losing notes too many times. Really hoping for this feature to be added soon!

What the heck -- how is this not live?? I just lost horus of notetaking. THis is crazy -- why do notes not save as drafts??

How has this been ignored for so long? The original request was submitted over 2 years.

Have signed up to the Community because I've just lost hours of work. What I can't understand is that I left my work overnight. So presumably it was ok that I didn't close the tab but as soon as I left the tab (staying within Hubspot) it's all gone. Research from 2 separate days. 

What will it take for this to be taken seriously?

The communal hours lost to this not being fixed is baffling.

At the very least, someone from HS should at least respond here.  Nothing worse than being ignored for two years.  Not like this is freeware.  Ironically, this note just autosaved.

How can a group of people who are so capable in terms of creating a huge, complex application, be incapable of incorporating autosave on notes?

At least once a week I forget this product FAIL, click out of my note, and ... puff...its digital dust.

Beyond autosave, how about baking multi-user note editing. Most of our sales calls involve more than a single person on a call taking notes, how about making it possible for us to jointly edit. Today if we want to do this I need to create a google doc.

But back to autosave, it is VERY frustrating to have to save, then choose edit multiple times through a call. Please incorporate autosave!

If you add up all of the extra time HS users have spent re-writing notes lost from not auto-saving, the cost to add this capability should be recovered very quickly!!!  Ironically this message is at the bottom of this reply box:

Literally this issue is the straw that broke my back today. When my company wants to move to SF...Im not gonna fight it. Crazy that people have been posting here for 2 YEARS!!! with no response to hubspot on the matter. Absolutely ridiculous.

Please add this capability. Standard on most web products and a big efficiency boost for power users.

Plus one to this idea. Our CRO said today that we'd have to move away from HubSpot completley in this area if it isn't added as a feature 😥.

A couple months ago I heard from Hubspot that this feature was being worked on. I also suggested that it be possible for multiple editors to work on the note. At this time it makes more sense to link out to a Google Doc for notes you 1) don't want to lose and 2) create collaboratively. But...we shouldn't have to resort to a separate (FREE!) product to do want a $125/per user/per month product should handle natively in the year 2022!!
