We have multiple marketing users on Hubspot with similar access. In case there is an error (someone accidentally made a change to a workflow/someone set up something that we don't need), it is harder to track if there were more such changes made elsewhere.
Having an audit trail that lists down all the changes made on a specific day or date range makes it much, much, much easier for troubleshoting issues. Otherwise, you just have to go through every workflow/asset to check for last edits made, which is obviously not very user-friendly.
The only workaround I can find is to limit access for the entire team/only allow access when someone asks to setup something; which is pretty counter-intuitive and limits learning for new users.
In addition this level of change management reporting. It would also be useful to be able to report users by roll and which have the ability to create or edit properties.
Our customers are consistently looking for ways to have more insight into who, how and when certain changes were made, and there are still areas in the product that don't offer information on this. It would be great to be able to audit who is making changes to a user's permissions, teams, etc.
Only workaround I can think of here would be to integrate with a VCS and the various APIs to be able to track down when something changed, but that's a considerable amount of work for a partial workaround. Something in-portal or even exportable would provide a lot of peace of mind. Ideally this would list what changes were made, who made them, and when. Primarily I'm interested in audit logs for Workflows & Users/Roles/Teams, but would appreciate if the functionality also covered lists, emails, properties etc.
We definitely need this! We had some issues with user permission and realized we need to do a user audit! This would be super helpful to have this ability!
HubSpot now has a Centralized Audit Log of User Actions 😀
Enterprise tier Super Admins can view a centralized audit log of their users’ actions such as:
who deleted X record?
who changed Y asset?
Starter and Professional tier customers can view a centralized log of all security and login activity taken by users.
