Attachments OVERHAUL

Currently the attachments within deals, contacts, tickets, etc is a little lackluster and fails to add necessary functionality one would expect. 

I'd recommend changing the following:

1) Add attachement titles to search function

2) Easily check multiple attachments to: make edits, delete, rename, etc.

3) Ability to rename attachments after they have been added

4) Ability to add existing attachments to emails without saving them to the files section of hubspot.

5) Ability to control whether an attachment will automatically be added to a deal

Yes, yes, yes. At the moment, everything gets attached, and you can't rename the files. Therefore, one must download to the computer, rename, delete the file from HubSpot and re-upload them. It's a waste of time for everyone. 

This solution would be great!

Yes and the ability to delete attached files automatically after a certain amount of time via a workfow would be usefull too.

Hello! Thank you to everyone who shared feedback and volunteered to participate in the Attachments Beta. Updating the status of this idea to "Delivered" as we already introduced the new attachments functionality in April 2024. You can now:

• Bubble up the files you care most about by sorting, searching and filtering your attachments.
• Rename your attachments and take bulk file actions such as download and delete.
• View a lot of the file metadata that was previously unavailable to you such as upload date, source and file type.

As always, we love customer feedback and use that to inform future product direction so please keep that feedback coming! I recommend spinning up a new ideas forum thread for any newer ideas for easier trackability.
