There are some deal property fields on contacts, but it's crazy to not include the deal stage at the contact level.
Users should not have to create workarounds or use exports to excel and vlookup as I've seen in some discussions on the community boards. Critical data like that should be available in the system.
I suggest HubSpot creates an Contact property field that looks at 'any Associated Deals with status X'. Since a Contact can have multiple Deals, including past wins and losses it would likely be best to be able to see if a Contact is in my pipeline by being to filtering on any Associated Deals are in my selected set of Deal Stages.
