Once a quote has been created, its deal association can no longer changed. For example, if I were to create Quote A, it was originally associated with Deal B. However, we only realized that it was associating to the wrong deal after the quote has been published. Unfortunately, there isn't a way to change the association of Quote A to Deal A at this time and quotes would have to be manually created again.
We can associate a deal and a quote with a lead. Maybe the collaboration will fall through, but then months later the dialogue can return. In that case, we have placed the first deal in LOST, which makes us create a new deal for that company, because the Data otherwise would be messed up since we only move deals in a "one-way" traffic 🙂
It would be very very helpful to transfer an existing quote from one deal to another deal. For example, if the quote has the wrong connection or if a deal is split afterwards (if a customer only orders one part and the second part later). So you have to recreate the existing quote each time and it costs a lot of time or it remains in the wrong deal sometimes but falsifies the piplelines.
I have an existing quote, not associated with any deal. I just want to add it to a deal. Can't see how this can be done, and hard to believe that it is not possible.
I am a new HubSpot user and this feature would be extremely helpful! We have a couple Quotes that were created when we first started using Hubspot and there has been duplication of Deals/Quotes that can't be merged into one deal!
This is a much needed fix. I say fix becuase I genuinley think this was an oversight by the devs. You can change association for other objects in HubSpot, why overlook the quote object? Quotes get accidentally added to the wrong deal often in our company. Training and good practice can only go so far...mistakes will eventually happen and I need to be able to correct them when they do.
