Associate Contacts to Conversations based on reply_to address.
Hey, team, some users have custom setups where they forward the email to the Conversation, but the contacts address is in the reply to the field rather than the From field.
It would be helpful to customize which field is use to association conversations to contacts
In our app we have a form through which our clients can ask questions. This is custom developed.
What happens when they click submit is that an email is sent with following config:
from name: customer name
from: our email address
reply_to: customer email address
to: our email address (inbox in hubspot is configured on this email address
All these tickets get assigned to our company & contact in Hubspot. Yet this is not what should happen, it should happen based on the reply_to email address.
This is quite crucial as:
auto emails "your ticket is created" are now sent to our mailaddress rather than the customer.
we need to manually adapt the contact & company --> extra work
sometimes the response is sent to our mail address instead of the customer (when we forget / do not notice to change the contact info)
