Assign tasks from a sequence to different users

Hi,

I enrolled many contacts in a sequence.

the sequence includes emails and tasks.

however, the task to call contact is to be executed by another hubspot user. how can i assign that to them automatically?

Has anyone received an update from Hubpsot please?

I am contracting with an organisation who uses Hubspot and I have been assigned tasks - I have actioned them but the next tasks in the sequence remain with the original person. A huge amount of admin is needed to manual select each contact correctly for the upcoming tasks and then batch assign to me.

Where the original task is assigned surely there must be an option to state "do you want X person to also be assigned all future tasks in this sequence? "

Looking forward to any reply/guidance in case I'm missing something. Thanks Brainstrust

Please allow me to assign tasks from a sequence to a specific user that is not me!

Any reply / update to this request? Any work arounds?

I looked into this more. You can do this via a Workflow and if you're on Enterprise, you can enroll people into sequences form a workflow. That way, it's possible to assign tasks to someone else while continuing the sequence.

sd_soundbite do you have any guidance on how to write the workflow please?

Hubspot has you covered:
https://knowledge.hubspot.com/workflows/create-workflows

Workflows are similar to sequences. You create an event to trigger actions
(such as when a customer signs up), from there, you can create tasks,
update Hubspot properties, reassign an account, enroll in a sequence, etc.

How is this not an option yet???

It would be great to be able to assign tasks under sequences to other team members. Is there any discussion around this being implemented @hubspot?

@hubspot  How is progress on this going? Looks like you've had a few years to think about it.

six years and nothing yet? This is needed for those whose job is to set up automation for other teams within a company.

Hi All -

For those still looking for a solution here, we've built an app called Task Assistant that can help you out.

Here's a video outling a very specific scenario where tasks created via a sequence are automatically reassigned.

Reach out if you have any questions!

Andrew

P.S. There's a free plan that allows for up to 50 actions each month at no cost. Here's a link to learn more and test it out for yourself!

Hi All - this is now solved with the assistance of an app we built, Task Assistant.

Here's a video outlining how it works, with step-by-step detail explaining how you can reassign tasks created via a sequence to another user.

Two prerequisites:

  1. You do need access to HubSpot's workflows tool as part of your subscription (Professional+)
  2. You'll need to sign-up for Task Assistant. There's a free plan to get started - more info can be found on our app listing page

Reach out if you need any help!

My contacts have 2 diffrent owners. I want to select sequence tasks to be assigned to specific owner. This feature would be very nice.

I believe you can do so using workflow. If you automate your Sequence to automatically enroll contacts, then you can chose who should be sender of the sequence.

We really need this as well!
