Sometimes you don't want to or can't delete a property or list. It would be great to be able to "Archive" it so that in future lists and options it no longer appears, but it doesn;t get removed from any historical contacts, companies or deals.
I second this! This idea was trickey to locate to upvote I suspect others feel the same.
Products retire, processes change. Being able to archive but not delete a value is key to the history of a contact. Please allow up to archive a property value or list so that it is no longer "active" for new contacts but available to "see" in those who still carry that value.
Do note before archiving the properties, you'll need to ensure they are not in use. To do so or if you need some help to clean them up, this guide here may be useful. Hope this helps!
Hi, @JacquelineOng I think what we're also looking for is being able to archive values within a property rather than the entire property itself.
As far as I know, this is currently not possible. It only gives us option to delete the value itself (only when it is not present on any object).
Hubspot do you have any idea on when/whether this will be possible? Otherwise - to avoid clogging the CRM - we will need to keep on creating new properties.
Archiving anything on HubSpot should be made possible and looks like there is a lot of support for this functionality. Whether it's a list, campaign, property, workflow, emails etc. Despite foldering everything, our Hub is messy and searching for lists is clunky, so being able to archive all these items would be great!
When HubSpot come to develop their own co-pilot (which I suspect they're doing already), they're going to need all this data to train their platform on, so deleting it doesn't make sense to the user or to HubSpot in the mid to long term.
