Analytics Tools Revenue Analytics Report: Inactive Date - Inactive Reason

I don't understand the use case for Inactive Date and Inactive Reason on this report.  Based on my use case, I suggest this:

 

  • Client has renewed Subscription A for Subscription B
    • Set Inactive Date of Subscription A to termination date
    • Set Inactive Reason of Subscription A to "Renewal"
    • Set Recurring Revenue deal type of Subscription B to "Renewal"
    • Set Inactive Date of Subscription B to termination date
    • Set Inactive Reason of Subscription B to "Renewal"
  • Result
    • Subscription A revneue should reduce MRR by the amount but not score as lost recurring revenue, or maybe a different category and not churn
    • Subscription B should pick up in the Existing bucket.  Well, it should pick up somewhere because it currently does not pick up in any bucket if it is selected to Renewal.
