Allowing non-HubSpot conversion pages to be used as triggers/filters in workflows
I recently found out the form submission URLs cannot be used for workflows as triggers or filters, despite the fact that HubSpot collects this data.
Currently, form submission sources in workflows can only be for forms that have been placed on HubSpot pages, not external pages. To circumvent this, one must utilize the following enrollment triggers:
Form Submission - form xyz AND, recent conversion -- example: [Name of page] | [Name of form]
HubSpot defines the following as:
Recent conversion: the last form the contact submitted. This is formatted as the name of the page the form was submitted on, followed by a colon, then the name of the submitted form (i.e., Name of page: Name of form).
This is a manual process and could be very prohibitive for a dynamic form that appears across a site or access multiple sites.
I would suggest that HubSpot allows for external URLs to be part of form submission triggers / filters in workflows.
We have several websites where we publish a lot of ebooks and we wold like to refine the workflow based on the page the form is submitted like you can do with an HubSpot landing page!
Right now we check if the user visited also the url where we host the form but this method has a lot of issues, specially if the user didn't accept the use of cookies and we couldn't install the tracking script.
We're also looking for this feature. I'm shocked it's not a basic functionality... We will struggle to manage forms across web pages hosted on our CMS without it.
The majority of companies who use Hubspot do not use forms natively, and they embed their forms on their own company websites (such as a Wordpress site).
So when a form is embedded on Wordpress, we should be able to trigger a workflow based on when a form was filled out on a specific external page.
I'm actually surprised this isn't a feature yet. Especially since Hubspot IS already collecting this data, and you can see this data within the contact record of anyone who submits a form...you can see what page that form was submitted on.
So the fact that that data is collected and viewable on the contact level but we aren't able to use it within a workflow as a trigger is very surprising.
Hubspot - PLEASE add this feature to your tool. Your users and community will be forever grateful if you do.
I was waiting for an answer from support only to find out here that it is not possible ... we actually left our previous marketing automation tool because we had to create a form for each content, and this is actually the same on hubspot ... cannot believe it is not a basic feature
Here the same ... I upgraded Hubspot, cause I was sure, that I can create Workflows with Elementor Forms. But now I see it is not possible. I better stayed in the free plan, cause I have no value from upgrading now.
I am disappointed to see that this idea was posted in 2021, and it has still not been implemented. Our organization works across multiple industries and languages, and having to create separate forms for each iteration for the purpose of analytics and customer automation is really clunky. Hubspot, please!
This is a required feature. Please add it to the form filled trigger that currently only shows hubspot internal pages. This data is already available in the submissions information for each form so why not make it available in filters?
Upvoting this. As @davidlazar mentioned, the data is being collected and is available for viewing with the other form submission data. It just cannot be used as a filter in a workflow. Thanks for considering!
