Allow personalisation tokens for associated objects with multiple assocaitons
When creating an email template, it appears that you can use a personalisation token from an associated object (e.g. a deal) but it only works if there's only one of those associated objects (i.e. the contact is only linked to one deal). That's a bit of a shortcoming and in other areas of HubSpot you can choose how to specify the association (either by association label or by activity e.g. most recently created). It would be great to enable this in the templates (and generally across HS).
Use case: I want to set up an email sequence to collect licence numbers for an invoice for this year. I want to reference the data we have in the deal for the customer to be able to confirm this, but we have an annual sales cycle so each existing customer is likely to be associated with multiple deals. In this case, it would be great to be able to choose which deal to pull from.
(I am aware that I can do this with a deal-based workflow, but the shortcoming there is that I have to then ensure that the association labels for all contacts on the deal are correct so that I can send the email only to the contacts with the relevant assocation label and, at present, association labels can't be created/updated in workflows so it's a very manual process to keep them up to date).
Use case: client has a contact with a primary company (the company they are employeed by) and an association to another company for which they manage as the brand manager
we wish to to send automated emails to the contact that refernece both the primary company name and the name of the company they manage (defined by an association label brand manager). workflows have the capibility to refence specific object association types (by defining the association) why not have this capabity for personalization tokens ?
this is needed for companies with complex relationships!
Hello, We also need to have this feature, for our customer case which is to be able to send two SMS for an order that includes two different products. HubSpot Ticket #19962678449 for more informations.
We also need this kind of feature. Because we create quotes for our students. But their parents need to sign as well, because the student is not authorized.
If we add their parents to the deal for signing the quote. The name of the most recently associated contact will appear in the quote.
Because we work with personalization in the quote and use the contact of the deal.
Unfortunately, we now see that if we link multiple contacts, we cannot check a primary contact to use in the quote.
I also require this for our use of Hubspot. We have contacts that can be the primary contact for multiple companies. We automate various emails to our customers, which include company personalisation tokens, but this doesn't work for contacts that are primary contacts of multiple companies, as there is no way to be sure which company the token will look at.
Being able to pull personalization tokens from an associated object such as company, apart from the primary company, is essential. I have a use case where we're syncing data over to company records, that I intend to use for personalization tokens, but there are scenarios where a contact might be associated to two companies and the primary company may not always be the record with synced values. My attempted solution was to create a new label that could be applied to companies with a data sync and set them as a separate association label. This falls short due to the barrier of only being able to use the primary company for tokens.
Also needed here, no idea while it works only for companies and not for contacts.
Will use it in automated reports to customer primary contacts in different stages of Service/Repair processes, also in automated reminders for all sort of topics.
Will use it in email templates and also in Snippets
