Allow cloning of modules directly in the page editor
I find it extremely cumbersome that I cannot clone modules directly in the page editor, this would be EXTREMELY useful. Here's an example with a portal I manage:
If you scroll down about half way, you'll see these blue and green flippy card things. One module = three cards, so in this instance, the first module contains team, idea, and motivation.
With this module, I had to set the background color of each card, the front color of each card, the text size, the text weight, the text padding from the top, the color of the plus, etc etc etc. It took some time.
With the second row of cards containing phase, technology, geography, I had to do that ALL over again with a fresh module...
It would have been way easier to just clone row 1 in the page editor, and copy paste the needed text right into the module.
This seems to be a pretty standard thing within other CMS's and I am really disappointed that HubSpot doesn't have this functionality.
I agree that this would save designers and page builders a lot of time. I'd also love the ability to import a custom module (and it's entire configuration) that already exists on another page.
The Pagebuilder is good in many ways, but when it comes to module handling, it is really really outdated. Not being able to save something you create in the pagebuilder, to be re-used across other pages in the same site is really considered lack of basic functionality in todays drag and drop world and is available in many competing CMS solutions.
The Design tool where you are suposed to create the modules, is hopelessly outdated compared to the rest of the pagebuilder, and is not very userfriendly. Typically you put a content creator, or someone from marketing in a managing position for your CMS, but creating modules requrires code-skills, and moves the creation process away from where it belongs, and thus creating bottle necks in content production.
If this post gets traction and actually gets some sort of product update, id like to add to the suggestion as well, and suggest local and global modules. For example: Id like to be able to create a price table dicrectly in the pagebuilder and save it as a global module, giving me 1 collected place to edit values for all places the price table is visible.
In addition, id like to be able to save a module locally, ie the setup, look and feel of it, but i want the values like text, images and so on to be unique for each page i implement it on.
Yes please, upvoting this! It's easy to clone an entire page, but there is no option to clone modules and global ones too.
Would be a great time-saver if this feature is enabled. The current workflow requires redoing a module from scratch by copying the settings made to a previously modified one (opened in a different window).
