Allow Custom Deal Properties that are formatted as currency to be multi-currency

lrodriguez

It would be very useful if HubSpot automatically assigns the Deal's currency to the Custom Deal Property formatted as currency or if at least it gives the option to select the currency you want to use on the custom property, as of right now the amount that is set on the custom property is the one chosen on the Account Default settings.

Thanks!

Very useful, Shajones - hopefully the path to get same functionality on Company will be much quicker (I see a need to copy the custom currency property value to a similar property on Company)

I've been using this feature for a few weeks now. We have 4x teams that may be working on the same deal, so I have 4x custom fields that total into a 5th custom field & transfer into the company currency field. The conversion works great for any reports using the company currency field, but when I run reports that pull the individual team fields it doesn't convert. All numbers total as is regardless of the record currency

Hi Team- posting on behalf of a customer- this feature is available in many other CRMs and feels like an intuitive feature to have in HS.

We managed to create a workaround for this by creating a workflow to copy over caclulated property value to another custom property that could be formatted as a currency, however, there are a few issues that they flagged with the same:
- Calculation properties work instantly, while using a workflow to copy over info to another property causes minor delays and inefficiency in the work process.
- There is a limit on the number of calculation properties that can be created, and to have to create a backend property just to copy over to another value would result in usage of that valuable limit.

They would really appreciate if this feature is released. Thanks!

@shajones I was really excited for this feature but you end up being very limited in reporting. It doesn't allow you to set up the column for these properties as currency because it may reference more than one currency. For reporting, it doesn't add much value. Ideally, it would allow you to convert the property to your company currency (similar to Amount) or at least add the currency designation to the amount (e.g. MXN $10,000).

Agree with everyone here that this should be a default feature.

We have managed to solve it by creating a custom calculated property that calculates ARR in company currency.

Create a Deal property with "Field type" = Calculation.

This will then miltiply the ARR of the deal with the exchange rate, which will apply to all currencies (company currency will be 1x1).

Hope it helps!

It's frustrating is that I can't set the record currency for a calculated field. Why is this an option with normal fields but not calc fields?

@Zayne Thanks for the feedback and for being patient with us! The record currency checkbox is now available for calculated properties.
