Allow Custom Deal Properties that are formatted as currency to be multi-currency

lrodriguez

It would be very useful if HubSpot automatically assigns the Deal's currency to the Custom Deal Property formatted as currency or if at least it gives the option to select the currency you want to use on the custom property, as of right now the amount that is set on the custom property is the one chosen on the Account Default settings.

Thanks!

How many upvotes and replies does it take for action to be taken at Hubspot? Company recently migrated to Hubspot and it's insane some of the basic functionality (like this multi-currency issue) that the CRM doesn't have. Can we please get an update on if/when this will be addressed?

Custom properties need to be be aligned with the currency that we've set for the deal, otherwise this would just be really confusing here to use.

This is a much needed feature for businesses operating in different regions.

We have multiple custom properties and when we are updating the currency for the deal, the currency isn't updating for the custom properties.

It has become a huge problem for my clients as they are operating in different countries and are charging in different currencies. It has become difficult for them to explain their accounts team to look into the 'currency' property. Mistakes are bound to happen if they need to look into multiple properties before billing.

Please please HubSpot, introduce this feature as it is one of the basic feature that is required by businesses.

Thanks.

I too require this feature - has there been any official response from HS?

We really need this implemented HubSpot. Why is this not on the roadmap? It is a simple dev and not a recreation of any tool.

Please Hubspot, it is really important to have also the ARR and the MRR in company currency. We need to report company revenue with this split in company currency since this is the currency we use to manage our business

We have multiple pipelines and close deals in different currencies.

Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) is the main component of our deals, however, we also have one-time fees.

At the moment it is impossible for us to have visibility of either our pipeline or closed deals at an ARR level for our company currency. We can only see this at an individual currency level.

Without the ability to see the total ARR pipeline and closed deals at an aggregated level Hubspot reporting becomes absolutely useless.

Hi,
I believe you should be able to achieve this at least for ARR?

@K_S are you able to share how you think we can achieve ARR at Company Currency?

Hi @fulthy

I assume you are looking for Closed-Won ARR in Company Currency, right?

  • We have EUR as Company Currency and we have set up the FX rates in the Currency settings in HubSpot.
  • We have deals in different Currencies (set on the deal level) and therefore our Products are also priced in different currencies.
  • Our Deal Settings is set to Annual Recurring Revenue in terms of "Default deal amount"

This ensure that we can report on Closed-Won ARR in Company Currency.

Hi @K_S

what happens to the one off part in this way? Your deal will show only ARR in company currency...and if I've well understood also in reporting you'll see only ARR in company currency, right?

How to have the full picture? have you split the one off and recurring in 2 different deals?

Hi @CRavenda agree, as I wrote initially, "I believe you can do this at least for ARR" 🙂

Indirectly, to find the One-time part in Comp Currency, you could do a calculated property = TCV - ARR. But its not perfect, as it would not work if the deal is for more than 12 months.

In my opinion, HubSpot has a feature gap in not being able to report on Product Line Items in Company Currency 🙁 anyone having a solution on this, please let me know.

As a new user of Sales Enterprise, I really wish to have option to set up currency for the Company properties as well. I have many business units that has 5 different currencies, and some Companies properties must have finance values.

When it could be available?

This is also in a way connected to this idea:
https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Multi-currency-for-custom-contact-properties/idi-p/37...

I commented there as well:

Because Hubspot already does it with AMOUNT vs amount in company currency, I would assume it is a quite easy fix to

-in custom properties when you choose currency - decide which currency. Today it automatically goes into company currency.
-in custom properties when making a calculation, be able to calculate another custom property into a wanted currency, or at least into company currency.

The latest is the biggest wish, because we do commission calculation in Hubspot, and based on the deal delta (the added revenue) we pay out commission, in USD which is the company currency. But we also have deals in NOK, DKK, GBP etc, and sales reps should only add delta amount in the origical currency, without having to know the currency rate, and needing to calculate this into USD. If we had a calculation property, that took this delta amount, in combination with the currency set on the deal, it could calculate the delta into USD based on the currency rates set in settings.

Feel free to reach out to understand this use case more. But as a sales tool, calculating commission easily inside a CRM should have been developed/supported already yesterday, so hoping prioritization on it.

No update in this one? C'mon developers, this one is an easy thing to implement and it's been more than 3 years since it was pointed out.

This is definetely needed. All currency properties should follow the currency set for a deal. It is extremly confusing for global companies to report on things when amount is in USD/GBP/EUR and then your custom properties are set in the company currency €/£/$..

As many people above me have said, this change is needed. We track multiple revenue streams in each deal and when they are not in the company currency the sales team are having to convert the currency across manually to input the fields. All currency-based fields should have the option to input an amount and choose a currency. The functionality and calculation already exists for the Amount in Company Currency field, so should be easy to replicate.
