Adding Play Button to Video Module in Marketing Email Editor
We noticed that when we added the video module to a marketing email and added a link to a Youtube video, the original thumbnail did not include a play button. We're looking for a way to get the video module to have a play button over it, since at present when you preview the image, the video just looks like an image and is not apparent that it is in fact an image.
Since there is no way to add the Youtube logo to the video module in the email similar to what is shown in the preview on the module editor pane. we added the screenshot as a thumbnail. However, when we added the thumbnail, a gray play button appeared on the video module over the youtube logo.
I was hoping to have the gray button appear without adding the thumbnail to the video module if possible. It would save the need to take a screenshot of the video's original thumbnail to include the Youtube play button logo and just have a play button over the video once added to the email.
Yes, there is an inconsistency here. The play button loads on Apple Mail iOS but it's inconsistent on desktop (OS). Appears to work well in Gmail and Outlook.
