At the moment it's not possible to insert tables in the drag and drop email editor. Even if we paste table HTML in the source code, it gets stripped away when we save it.
Current workarounds include:
Add a screenshot of the table instead:
However if the email client is blocking images, this information will not show up
Use a custom module with a HTML table:
This means that for every table I want to insert in my emails, I need to create a new module
Being able to add tables to drag and drop emails will be a really useful feature to have for those want the flexibility of DnD, but still want to structure their information clearly.
Hi Contributers, thank you for the idea and for all the feedback, This feature is not available for Marketing Email yet. We have discussed this as a team and are hoping to review this soon, but this is not planned for development in the next quarter. For transparency and clarity, I am updating this issue to 'Not currently planned' for the time being. I will update here once we have plans in place.
This is absolutely needed for those on HubSpot Starter because you can't create custom fields - AND you can't create HTML table formatting into the source code, what's up with that?! I've never seen this missing from an email editor - you can easily do this in ConstantContact, iContact, Pardot, Marketo, Zoho, ConnectWise, and more - even in Salesforce itself!
Using an image is an alternate but, the more images you have, the more spam filters you trigger. Ugh.
I worked in product development for many years - let's get this on the development roadmap.
This is absolutely insane that there is no basic allowance for a simple creation of a table for use in the email editor. Please wake up your idea that we are now mostly working digitally and virtually around the world. It would be wise to start implementing basic functions that even your typical notepad or notes can allow tables to be minimally created.
This is a feature that our company would benefit from as well. Even though a screen shot was suggested, we need users to be able to lift the text from the table, so that wouldn't work.
Surprised when this request came through from a colleague. I'd have thought a table module would have been available, in the meantime we will create a custom module that has the functionality to build a table as required.
Any update on HubSpot Idea: Importing Microsoft Excel tables (objects) into HubSpot Email: Drag & Drop Builder? It's May 2022 and hoping for an update on this on when feature will be added.
Adding this feature would be so clutch and save my team 3 hours each week --- the time needed to complete critical data feed campaigns and make us look like heroes over our competitors.
Any further update on this feature request? We're a Marketing Hub Enterprise customer focussed on B2B and this feature would be hugely useful to us. Pasting an image is not a feasible workaround if you want to link to multiple attributes within a table.
