It’s becoming more common to see emails from innovative companies with designs that break away from the traditional 600px width. These wider email templates create visually striking, modern layouts that stand out from the crowd.
While I understand the need to consider compatibility across email clients, it would be great if HubSpot enhanced its drag-and-drop editor to support greater flexibility for creating wider email templates.
This is actually possible already, but it can be hard to find the setting. If you open Settings -> Tools -> Marketing -> Emails -> Branding - you should find "Email body with", set to 600px by default. Changing this will affect all email templates.
Changing the width is easier in a drag&drop template, as you can change the column width in the editor.
Agree! We need control over this especially for migrating from one system to HubSpot. Other email providers have different sizes or offer controls. When emails are reconfigured in HubSpot, clients are frequently frustrated that their emails don't look the same and the main difference is due to the width.
I am currently creating a custom email template in the design manager with a dnd_area that we will use to add custom modules. This template needs to have a maximum width of 700px to accommodate the content in some of these custom modules. However, the hse-column-container has a max-width of 600px that I can't override with CSS, or by any other means it seems.
I need the ability to set the width of the dnd_area above 600px, or make it full-width and then control the max-width of the content in the template or module.
Is there any way to achieve this currently? I'm new to working in Hubspot and this has been a source of frustration.
Thanks!
