Add more than 100 contact/company records to a static list
The current 'Add to static list' option only allows for a maximum of 100 records to be added at one time. It will be great if this limit can be increased / or users are able to select as many records as they want to be added to a static list at any one time.
While 100 is great, it is not very ideal if I have, e.g. 6000 records. i will need to repeat the step 60 times. 🙂
This is an older comment, but I too am mystified as to why this can't be done more easily after filtering contacts... to create a quick, static list. It seems the way I've done similar is to first creat the list, then to add the filters for the list enrollment to be what I would have searched for otherwise. But yes, have found it would be very helpful to do the reverse, as I just recently (forget why) had to try to do so, and had to go through about 6 screens, as you mentioned... ugh.
100 times this. How this limit exists is beyond me; it makes this task hugely painful and time consuming. Like OP, I have a large list (148k). That a marketing automation platform for anyone other than a one-man-band type company limits additions to 100 a time is barmy.
I agree, it is maddening! I am actually considering moving to Salesforce because of it, as I think this has been an unresolved, known issue for quite some time.
The better way to do this is to use an active list for the list that you anticipate will "grow" over time. Here are the steps to achieve this:
Create a custom contact property that will store the value of all your active lists. For example, "Active List" with the names of all of your active lists as a multiple checkbox property type.
Create an active list and set the filter to dynamically create the list based on the matching property value from step 1.
When you're ready to add new contacts, import your list as a static list.
Once the import is completed, select all contacts in your static list, then click on edit and assign those contacts with the matching property value from step 1. This will trigger the active list to add all contacts from the static list based on the matching property value!
After you complete step 4, you can delete the static list if desired since all contacts are already in Hubspot and marked within your active list via the custom contact property that you created in step 1.
Create a new active list of "contacts to add" to your existing static list. Then build a simple workflow where enrollment criteria is "list membership: contacts to add" then the next step is "add to static list."
Somewhat wonky, but saves a ton of time as opposed to clicking through pages of 100 contacts at a time.
I'm not sure if any of you figured out how to manually add more than 100 contacts to a list but anyway if you go to where the recently imported lists are and click MORE you can add the recently imported contacts to a list and you won't have to segment them!
Dunno if this problem still persist, but I just had to import 5800 companies.
After that go to you import list again and click on the last one.
Then you will jump to the list of entries with filter of recently uploaded ones.
When choosing the most left checkbox to mark all (in my view 100) records there will be an infobox relative benath that is asking if you probably want to choose ALL records (in my case 5800). By checking this you can then edit all the records. Hope this helps 😉
