Add file attachments to marketing mails

Currently only link attachments from the Hubspot data base are supported for marketing mails. Sometimes it would be more appropriate to sent the content already with the mail such that users can access all mail after mail sync without being online.

Hi Alessio,

Thanks for sharing this app with us.

I do have a question. The original issue is that we can't attach full fledged documents to emails. Because some of our contacts can only access documents through direct attachment to emails, not links

It seems that what your app  does is give the possibility to link documents from anywhere in an email, instead of hubspot links. It's nice, but doesn't adress the original issue fully, I think.

Paul.

We are expressing the same issue. I wasn't offering a solution as much as I was bringing attention to a flaw in HubSpot's process.

Hubspot already allows users to share live links. This doesn't solve the problem.

Hi HubSpot,

When will this be looked at?

We need to send terms and conditions as a PDF attachment (An unedited original document) with our contracts as part of the marketing emails in our automation workflow - Please help with this

Hi All,

This might help some of you, it helped me:

Go to Marketing > files and templates > files > upload > upload files (orange button in the upper right corner) > pick the file you'd like from your files on your computer > upload > click on "details" (it doesn't show up unless you put your cursor over it, just after the title of your uploaded doc). Then you will see a URL. Copy the URL and add it to your marketing email as a button/picture/pretty URL.

I wondered why they didn't allow you to just upload a doc but this makes sense because you can track it when they open it via the link.

Hope this helps some.

Thank you,

-Kristin

Hello, Kristin.

I'm familiar with that URL's they aren't as convenient as a simple download of a PDF.

It is very frustrating and irritating that I can't have an file attachement to marketing emails.

Many people and whole industries train not to trust or use links in email, I have tried to use a link and it just doesn't work for marketing, no one will click in a marketing email with how rampant phishing scams are now.

Please allow the ability to have an attached file to a marketing email.

+1 seems like a feature you would expect to be part of a CRM

+1 from me. Nearly 3 years since the last response from HubSpot, please can this get an update. 415 upvotes now!! It would be especially useful for us as we are planning to move all our transactional comms from a competitor to yourselves, however are being delayed by this very issue. Please let us attach files to marketing/transactional emails. It's such a basic tool that so many of your competitors use and should really be on your platform for transactional emails at the very least.

+1 on this - any idea if this feature is planned in the near future?

i upvoted this years ago.  its not worth asking them to do it anymore.  Hubspot is terrible for transactional email.  There are many better options out there that are much more cost effective.  Hubspot is great for marketing, but if you're looking at your notification stack for an app or platform, this shouldn't be your first choice

An essential feature that we're still missing after over 3 years for many of our workflows, happy to jump on a call to discuss our corporate use cases.

This is the sole reason that we are not using hubspot for 100% of our emails and did not buy the transactional email package. We are currently using other mail clients instead of hubspot to be able to send PDF attachment (such as invoices etc.)

Please allow us to attach PDF's so we can use solely hubspot for all our mails.

@Wappie : The transactional module allows you to send mails with attachments (by using the API). It's undocumented I think but we use it to send mails with invoices from our own CRM. Don't shoot me if this is not correct but Im almost 100% sure that we are doing it.

Hi Bart,

Thanks for letting me know. Do you also have a small step by step guide of how to? We did not manage to get it to work yet. Maybe we need to buy an extra module?

Thanks heaps,

Sander

You need the transactional module and it can only be done by using the API. I'm no programmer so I can't help you further but I know our team got it working.
