It would be beneficial to have Date stamp & Time stamp (system time, eg. YYYY-MM-DD & HH:MM) as available properties in Hubspot. So that one can pick date or time stamps to use in snippets or workflows.
👋Hi all, I'm Rachel from the HubSpot Product team. An update - we are now in public beta for 'Create Datetime properties in HubSpot,' which allows you to create custom Datetime properties. You can opt into the beta underProduct Updates. A few notes:
When viewing and editing this property, a user’s current time zone will be used. This is based on the time zone set on their device.
When filtering with this property, your account’s time zone will be used by default.
Any custom datetime properties that had been created via a Support request / via API will now display Date & Time.
‘Date’ properties whose field type can be edited can now be converted to ‘Date and Time.’
Datetime properties will be displayed as Date in the Forms Editor. Datetime properties are notyetsupported in the new Forms Editor.
Even just a time stamp without a date picker in case we need to gather data about daily schedules. With the API you can create a date & time picker but you canno create a time picker only without date. I know that we can use dropdowns and have 30minute interval options in a dropdown but it would give more flexibility having a time picker with better UX as well.
@AMa28 Agreed! It's a shame and really odd that it wasn't rolled out with the original release years ago - circa 2006. It's embarrasing that an $800MM+ company struggles to create a simple DateTime field. HubSpot is a good tool, and with a few necessary tweaks such as the DateTime field, can be great tool. The problem is, @hubspot doesn't listen to its customers.
@AMa28 Absolutely! Same here. What's frustrating is the UI is excellent (except for the new nav menu change - it's terrible). HS has the potential to be a really great CRM. The main issue is that @hubspot could care less about its customers and what they actually need. That's why HS is losing marketshare. New CRMs are hitting the market like crazy right now like GoHighLevel, Bitrix24, and EngageBay among many others. The CRM market is more competitive now than ever before. Hopefully, HubSpot will wake up, listen to its customers, and make appropriate changes before it's too late. You're never too big to fail.
This is a crucial field to understand when requests come in and to look at the data. This is standard in every other ticket tool that we've used in the past.
