Add Phone Number Link (tel:) to Link Options in Emails

jrinaldi

A big part of our business is people calling in to our company from our email marketing campaigns. I run email marketing campaigns with other companies and have to insert the following code after copying the HTML from the HubSpot Preview. This seems like an easy fix for HubSpot to incorproate into the CRM.

<a href= tel:+PHONE NUMBER>

There's a similar option here for creating a click to call link in marketing emails
https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/create-a-click-to-call-or-mailto-link

When clicked, click-to-call buttons connect visitors on mobile devices with a specific phone number.

As a workaround I used an HTML block and added an HTML button from Litmus--specifically the "conditional-padding" button provided here.

I validated that the tel: link does indeed work, and that the button renders just as well as the Hubspot button, by using the Litmus email client previews in the Hubspot emai builder.

The top button in this picture is the HTML one, the bottom is Hubspot's button tool.
