Add CC and BCC capabilities to emails from HubSpot
We have a need for the option to add CC and BCC to emails that are sent from HubSpot. We have two important use cases for this.
Use case 1: We have a registration form set up on our website. When someone registers, they receive an automated email from us through HubSpot saying "Thank you for registering!". Since we have a lot of different people signing up, it's very important for us to follow up on that email.
If we could add CC to me on the email that is sent out, I could pick up the conversation with the person registering very quickly. I could simply press "Reply" on the email and continue the conversation with the lead.
If I want to do this now with today's HubSpot solution, I'd have to copy/paste the lead's email address from the internal registration confirmation email, write a subject line that wouldn't confuse the lead, and then write the message to the lead. This delays the response time dramatically, and takes up substantially more resources.
Use case 2: If we could add BCC to emails as well, it would give people two great advantages; (1) HubSpot emails could easily be integrated with almost ANY CRM (ex. Email to CRM option), and (2) it would add the contents of the email to the CRM (more than just "Sent Subject Line").
If anything is unclear, I would loooove to explain in more detail.
Just dropping back in to say thank you for all the comments & thoughts here. For transparency, this is still not yet on the roadmap. We are evaluating it as something to add in the back half of this year, but nothing is yet planned.
Please keep upvoting this, and dropping your use cases for it. We are following it and listening.
Thanks for your comments on the idea. This isn't planned for development in the next quarter. For transparency and clarity, I'm updating this issue to 'Not currently planned' for the time being. We are evaluating this feature, but it requires substantial changes in how a number of our backend systems work. Specifically how our event (open & click) tracking works today.

Hi all, wanted to chime in here to let you know that we're definitely paying attention to this idea post, it's gathered a lot of votes, rightly so. At the moment we don't have a clear answer on when this might be available, I wanted to make sure and be transparent here to let you know. Just checking back in on this since it's been more than 5 years (!!) since it was first requested. I would like to bcc our customer service team on a specific outgoing marketing email that is auto-sent through a workflow when someone signs up to our platform. This still isn't possible??
Well it seems that this idea has fallen off the view of Hubspot? No comments since 2021 and nothing planned to add this feature to marketing emails? I am very curious why this wasn't an option from the beginning when it is a necessity? I know with other CRMs it is possible and being that Hubspot is better than the others why cannot this be an option, it seems that it isn't just one person requesting it? Can someone update the status of this for us please?
I really can't believe that this has not been actioned.
I have been told that having people copied in could mess up knowing who has read the email but as we already copy people in manually, this is not a valid point.
There are so many use cases for this and hundreds of people have asked for this.
Ideally, I would like to be able to add cc and bcc recipients to templates. A way around this could also be to allow @Someone's-email in the body of the text and they get copied in like with Gmail.
Having to request this type of functionality for a software in this day and age seems ridiculous, CC and BCC are a normal function of email, I am very interested to see if this will be resolved by HubSpot.
Use Case: when a quote is signed, and an Implementation Manager is assigned (this is a property that we have on the Deal, of type "HubSpot User"), I want to send an automated email "from" the Deal Owner (salesperson) to the Quote Signer, cc'ing the Implementation Manager, making a warm intro.
Today, our salespeople are asked to do it manually, quickly, but they forget and are slow (and sometimes can't act immediately because the Implementation Manager hasn't been assigned right when they look...
I have been asked by my management to send out a Mass Email Marketing Campaign by marking my sales personnel (who are on Hubspot) on CC. Let's say my database has 1000 contacts, some contacts need to have specific Sales personnel in CC. I don't think this feature is presently available on HubSpot, but there are other mailing engines that provide this option. It would be great if HubSpot could enable this feature.
P.S - I had posted this as an inquiry in the Community Forum 3 year back - and there seem to have other marketers who have a similar need.
Hey Hubspot, how are things going with this? Upvoting & commenting to keep attention on it. It's been years now & people are still asking. It would be great to send marketing emails with someone else from my team CCed.

Repeating what I have already said but I STILL really need this... and it looks like plenty of other customers do as well.
I have templates for numerous resellers around the world and for each template, I shold be able to specify the CC as the reseller for that country.
Also, when I send an email following a sale, I should be able to CC Production in to give them warning etc
Please look at this, it is not difficult. Even if you had the option to have in the body of the email '@someone@email.com' to include them - the same way it works in Gmail
We send out tons of automated marketing emails, but there's no way for us to see the exact merge tags that are being sent out to the contact. If we could cc the contact owners on the emails going out to their contacts, that would give us some insight to exactly what's going out.
