Add CC and BCC capabilities to emails from HubSpot


We have a need for the option to add CC and BCC to emails that are sent from HubSpot. We have two important use cases for this.

Use case 1:
We have a registration form set up on our website. When someone registers, they receive an automated email from us through HubSpot saying "Thank you for registering!". Since we have a lot of different people signing up, it's very important for us to follow up on that email.

If we could add CC to me on the email that is sent out, I could pick up the conversation with the person registering very quickly. I could simply press "Reply" on the email and continue the conversation with the lead.

If I want to do this now with today's HubSpot solution, I'd have to copy/paste the lead's email address from the internal registration confirmation email, write a subject line that wouldn't confuse the lead, and then write the message to the lead. This delays the response time dramatically, and takes up substantially more resources.

Use case 2:
If we could add BCC to emails as well, it would give people two great advantages;
(1) HubSpot emails could easily be integrated with almost ANY CRM (ex. Email to CRM option), and
(2) it would add the contents of the email to the CRM (more than just "Sent Subject Line").

Also chiming in here to say that we would also like to see the CC and BCC capabilities for Hubspot automated emails. We have people internally that need to be notified when certain client emails go out. 


We use email templates to send pro forma invoices to prospective customers, we want to cc the sales rep so they can see the exact content of what the prospect receive, especially when they have questions about it


We need this to integrate with automatic feedback gathering with Trustpilot.


This is a must to be able to use automatic review systems such as trustpilot. Google no longer counts Manual reviews sends so the only way to ensure all closed deals are prompted for a review that counts is adding your trustpilot identifier email addresss to the bcc. 


For a B2B business, the ability to CC or BCC another department head so they have visibility to the pipeline would be very helpful! 


We have this need as well. Here is our case study. We send sales order confirmation emails to our clients automatically when we receive an order. This email recap the order detail and client information. We use this email mainly to ask clients to review this information and reply to the email in case of a mistake. The email address we use is generic as we have a team of sales admin who supports these kinds of requests however we want our Area Sales Manager to be aware of any hiccup that can happen with a sale they made. Thus, we would like to CC our Area Sales Manager to these emails since they need to be aware of a reply immediately. The ability to cc someone on an automated email would be really helpful.


@mgandi we have a similar solution and our work-around was to set the "reply to" address and note IN the internal email that the recipient can reply to that other department person (in our case, Sales comms with Marketing). Seems like this is the way to go until we can directly get the CC or BCC people to show up at point of delivery. 🙌

Is this still not available?


Use case: We use personalization tokens to create custom instanced links for our software users. Having a BCC on our automated email drip workflows will allow us to add a Debug@ email address as BCC so we can see our real email sends to make sure links and personalization tokens don't break for any reason.

Just dropping back in to say thank you for all the comments & thoughts here. For transparency, this is still not yet on the roadmap. We are evaluating it as something to add in the back half of this year, but nothing is yet planned. 


Please keep upvoting this, and dropping your use cases for it. We are following it and listening. 





We use forms for internal employee task requests and currently have to manually forward hubspot notifications to the original form-filler and CC the team at large as an acknowledgment of receipt. It's a dumb amount of manual labor that shouldn't be necessary. 


This would be absolutely huge for handoffs between teams at my company, especially in the post-sales handoff to account management context, where we use templates a lot to do this. 


This would be HUGE for our organization as well


We could move even more processes to hubspot, automate more of them and remove manual steps, and be even more lockd in.  As it is we're investigating and other alternatives.

This needs to happen. 


We need this to smoothly hand off a new customer between a salesperson and customer success person, allowing all three parties to be on the same thread.


Just to extend this a little...

It would be good to have the option for Internal Email Notifications to have the ability to CC in multiple users.

At the moment you can send an email to multiple users, but with both CC'd they are then able to see who has responded to the email notification first.
