Active lists for negative/exclusion audiences for LinkedIn
I think it would be really helpful to enable advertisers to create active exclusion lists for LinkedIn i.e. active lists for people you don't want to advertise to.
I am trying to set up a campaign and I don't want our existing customers or companies with deals in the pipeline to see it. At the moment, I'd have to manually update this list each day/week instead of being able to use an active list.
Wouldn't you be able to do that having "negative" filters in your list, i.e. "lifecycle stage" is none of "customer"?
Depending on what other filter criteria you are using, you could either add that exlusion criteria each time when building your or have an active list that shows you everyone that is not a customer and then combine those two lists.
Active "non customer" list
Active LinkedIn Ads segmentation list (ignoring if someone is a customer or not)
Actual LinkedIn Audience List= Member of List 1 AND Member of List 2
Thanks for the message Frank! Surely this would only work if I have a list of people I want to advertise to?
What I am looking to achieve is for example: UK tech companies with 100-1000 employees who are not already a customer or have a deal in the pipeline. I don't actually have a list of people I want to reach. I want to use LinkedIn's targeting to reach the type of company I am looking for but want to make sure ads aren't being shown to customers/existing prospects.
I hope that makes sense!
