I would like to recommend the ability to use a single-item text fields directly into the line item without having to 'edit' the specific line item (currently only number fields have the option). We have clients that would like to add notes to specific line items without the inconvenience of going through the edit option.
YES!! Our clients want to be able to edit the whole "page" of line items "in-place" at one time and they cannot do that with text fields now. Instead they have to click the "edit" link for each one over and over to edit them all. Any field we add to show in the page view should be editable in the page view. PLEASE DO THIS HS!
This would be great! Having highly customizable/variable products makes the current version of line items a pain to use, especially since you can't even customize the "Edit" line items form.
Yes please, a text field property option would be very helpful. In my case, we are trying to use a quote in place of an internal form, as HubSpot doesn't have internal form capeabilities. We need a time stamped data entry for our sales team, and need the ability to add a custom text field column.
+5! My team is very frustrated at how workflow is slowed down do to having to click into each line item to add a shipping (tracking) number. We have been able to enter all other informaiton directly into the grid other than tracking and serial numbers needed for our work flow, using drop downs, date boxes and number fields. Unfortunetly, we can not use a number filed for the tracking number (most important and common) becasue UPS uses a letter in their tracking number (as do many product serial numbers).
It really seems like this should be a no brainer since you can already input number fields in the line items (we did this to make it easier to add the vendor PO nubmer). Entering text into a grid is pretty standard web page feature, so it should be pretty simple for such a powerful app like Hub Spot.
It's even more frustrating, given that we can't rearrange the Line Item Entry Form fields to place these needed fields at the top. So once they get into the line item, they have to scroll around to find the fields to fill in. All other objects allow us to customizes the object entry form as standard, but for some reason not the products.
Please add the grid text entry as soon as possible.
