Hello from the Sales Hub team. We are actively planning to add a toggle to disable document downloads. The idea is that we would add this toggle during Sales Document link creation so that the ability to download can be controlled at the link-level rather than strictly at the document level. I will provide an update once this feature is available.
Any update on this? This would be super helpful. Just like there is an option to ask for email address to view, would be great to also have option to enable or disable ability to download presentation
Still so frustrated by the lack of this SIMPLE function !! Wasting so much time here. Each time I need to integrate such a doc (and it happens a lot), I can't help thinking that Hubspot does not listen to its users... Could make me switch.
We ended up going with a different file company because of this reason. We use CloudFiles, and they have been really nice so far. It also has an App you can connect to in HubSpot. Just a recommendation.
This is such a good example of a large company that gets too large and stops listening (and even responding to) users. There's great metrics in here that should be more public about the number of people (users) who have requested something with no rationale from Hubspot for why it's not added. A great case study!
Any potential to raise this again @glencornell? I've come across another client using CloudFiles instead of HubSpot's native docs (mentioned at least once in this thread) and this idea is still getting weekly support 6 years after it was registered.
We're forced to use docsend because we can't let people download. I know product features have to always be regression tested and secure etc. but doesn't seem like heavy lift compared to value this would bring to so many people!
Je suis 100% d'accord, pour nous iol est important que nos documents soit lisible mais essentiel aussi qu'il ne soit pas téléchargeable ou imprimable. Nous aimerions pouvoir analyqser qui regarde nos documents sans se soucier du plagia. Quitte à ce que le client face un demande pour être téléchargé que nous accepterons au cas par cas.
Pensez-vous que c'est dans les tuyaux pour le 1er semestre 2024 ?
We need to restrict some documents from being downloaded locally in certain situations. Our teams share some docs that are perfectly fine to be shared throughout their teams while others are more sensitive and require a more limited circle of sharing.
We are hacking it by using (and paying for) DocSend (by Dropbox) and sharing the link via HubSpot to maintain some level or trackability, but would save us time, effort, and money to have this feature added to Documents.
