Ability to edit/translate the voice message for inbound call recording

Hi team,

When a contact calls a number where recording is turned on, a voice message will play informing them that the call is being recorded per call recording laws. There should be an option to customize this recording or at least translate the recording, as there are also users who use the inbound calling feature to communicate with their customers who are non English speakers. Thanks.

Quando um usuário liga para um número inbound, uma mensagem de voz será reproduzida informando que a chamada está sendo gravada de acordo com as leis de gravação de chamadas. Deve haver uma opção para personalizar esta gravação ou pelo menos traduzi-la, pois há usuários que também usam o recurso de chamadas inbound para se comunicar com seus clientes que não falam inglês e essa mensagem pode ser confusa para eles. We are starting planning for custom calling consent options. This work will be achieved in a few phases.

  1. We will aim to solve for ability to change the consent message langauge. The consent message would remain the same, but giving language options other than English.
  2. We will aim to solve for ability to fully customize the consent message content.

 

No eta on solution dates in 2024 yet, but we will continue to update this page as we get into beta and delivary stages. Thank you!

It will be great if we can record our own voices to be used in this recording.

It would undoubtedly be a huge benefit to be able to enable our sales agents to make personalised voice recordings for when they are unable to take a call and that call then goes on to voicemail. Just be alot more profeesional and personalised.

+1 on being able to change the Recording Consent Message. Right now it says:

"This call IS being recorded for quality assurance purposes, by staying on the line, YOU CONSENT to being recorded."

This is a very rude and ungraceful way of wording it. Instead of saying this call IS being recorded, say this call MAY be recorded, this way they don't feel like someone is currently listening in on the conversation behind their back. Saying "YOU CONSENT to being recorded" is an aggressive way to tell someone whats happening, is NOT needed, and should be left out to make for a more graceful message.

It should say, "This call may be recorded for quality assurance purposes".. just like how everyone else has it.
