Ability to create product groups/bundles/kits

bcook

It would be great if there was a way to create a Product Group that consists of multiple other products. So if you have a group of products that typically is sold together but could also be separate, the group would add in all of products in at once. It just speeds up the process of adding products to a deal since you don't have to add them all in one at a time and ensure that a product isn't missed.

Hi Community,

I just wanted to drop an update here to let everyone know where we currently stand with Bundles.  First, I want to thank the community for the obvious passion and excitement around this project.  It's something that has been on my radar and my wishlist since I started as the PM on Products, and I want to acknowledge that everyone has been so patient in waiting alongside me and the team for us to put something together here.

I also want to acknowledge that the Products & Line Items team covers a very large surface area, and prioritizing critical asks from our community members is both exciting and challenging.  With that in mind, I have some team updates to share with you today that we hope will help us better meet the needs of our customers.

@JKwock is going to take over my role as PM for Line Items & Products.  He'll be picking up our bundles research as well as our in-flight product organization and permissioning work, and defining the future of billing frequencies available here on Products & Line Items.

I will continue my work on Taxes on Line Items, helping to get this equally critical piece of functionality over the finish line for our customers, paving the way for both Joe and Ethan to bring us home on automated taxes and tax > accounting system sync in the future.

For those of you that wish to continue to express interest in bundles and talking about bundles, please reach out to jkwock@hubspot.com so he can continue to build the beta list.  For those of you that are currently on my beta list, expect an email from me announcing these changes and be assured that every person who has reached out has been tagged in a sheet and will not be lost in this transition.

Thank you all,
Victoria Gumaer

@JKwock - Can you provide the community with an update on Roadmap and timeline for Beta and GA?

This is an important feature for a large portion of Hubspots customer base, many of us are at the point where we need to make a decision (A) Build Internally (B) Wait for Hubspot. It would be great to have a clear picture of the roadmap and timeline so that we can make an informed decision.

Agree this would be a great feature.

Would like an update as well @JKwock! This is a make or break feature for our business to switch CRMs. If you need help with testing, I'm happy to help.

Has anyone figured out a workaround for this issue? Any integrations for HS or entirely different CRM perhaps? This is a make or break feature for our business or we'd make the switch.

Has anyone successfully integrated with a CPQ / Price management app which would offer more flexibility for the Product Bundling and selection logic i.e. if you select item A it is suggested item B is also selected? We have integrated with NetSuite (ERP) which takes care of some Item grouping but it's not as sophisticated as I would like. Basically only the product (item group name) exists in HubSpot which pushes across to an item group with the sub items in NetSuite. All product set-up and pricing is managed in NetSuite.

Hi, we were discussing this just yesterday.

A product should have access to different bundles but at the same time it is still unique. So if need to quote individual products (not bundle), it will not show multiple results of the same product but still just one product.

@JKwock I cant help with the testing if required.

Hi, do you have any updates on the development of this feature?

Thanks in advance for the information.

This feature would be fantastic and would save us a lot of work and, above all, avoid mistakes when we put together product packages in offers.

Hi community, we have come across the same need to be able to add product groups or categories and subproducts.

It's been a few years. Any update?

No updates for over a year is not a great sign. I don't expect this to change anytime soon, unfortunately. But would love to be surprised!

Hi

We also really want these features and also really needed feature, but i did find a way around, with workflow and custome codes for this and it works as it should for our sake for now, if anyone wants to know how to do this i can either post it her the code and the whole setup or just reach out to me.

Any updates on this? Looking for a solution to this problem, would be great if it was out of the box...

Bundles are extrememly helpful.  I have been utilizing them in multiple commerce platforms (QuickBooks, SuperOps, Odoo, Atera) to vastly increase quote/invoice efficiency and to package deals much more easily than manually adding them every single order.

Please add bundles to your Commerce platform roadmap.

@JKwock looking forward to an update. It has been more than a year since @VictoriaGumaer last provided an update on this.

@JKwock We've all been waiting since 2018, and it's clear that many other companies want this functionality—they just haven't taken the time to post or comment here. Bundling products is something 90%+ of businesses deal with regularly.

If there's any uncertainty about what we're requesting, just ask—anyone in this thread can quickly show you a basic example of a Bill of Materials (Sales BOM) or Product Bundle. Here's a simple one:
Promo: "Free case and charger with new iPhone purchase."
In this scenario, the sales rep adds a single bundled item (Sales BOM), which includes:

  • iPhone – Qty 1

  • iPhone Case – Qty 1

  • iPhone Charger – Qty 1

These items would appear individually on the quote/invoice, but the rep only has to add one grouped item instead of selecting each product from a list of potentially thousands.

Please save our sanity and be the hero that brings this long-stagnant request to life.
