Ability to always show previously completed fields when moving a deal in pipeline

When moving a deal from one stage to another, the list of 'previously completed properties' are always collapsed.

It would be useful to have the ability to always show certain fields, even if they have previously been completed. We want to use this to prompt the user to review the important fields (both completed and new) without extra clicking on the expand.

It would be great if there was at least a simple toggle switch when configuring the "Update Stage Properties" to set if you want the previously completed properties to be visible or collapsed by default.

We have the same need that when we move deals to Closed Won, we need our users to verify all the properties have the correct information in them. With the ones that were previously completed being collapsed by default, our users struggle to remember to expand that section and verify the information and it is leading to shipping errors.

Great idea especially with @zufe4631 idea to choose what should be shown and what not.

The big, and incorrect assumption on Hubspot's part is that a required property is never useful again. Regardless of the previously filled out state, if a property is marked "required", its important enough to ask the user to have it filled in. To think that there's no reason to fill it in again and hide it under "previously filled out properties" section lacks understanding of capturing data at different stages.

Maybe a compromise is always showing required properties regardless of their previously filled state. As users, we're already signaling importance by requiring properties to be filled out.

For example:

A "Next Step" property shows what the next step is in a deal.  You want that property to be updated at every stage change. Keeping this previously filled-in property hidden increases the chances the next step is not defined, leading to higher chances of losing a deal. And yes, for usability, it's pretty silly to have to expand the properties and go hunt for the previously filled-in property.

Expanding by default will help tremendously to keep our data clean because we have fields that need to be updated for more than one stage change.

Completely agree, probably a better more viable solution would be for be:

  • Hubspot creates a possibility to require users to 'Validate' chosen properties when moving deals throughout the pipeline using a simple checkmark for each property, thus requiring users moving deal throughout the pipeline to check/validate if the current information in the chosen properties are still correct. This would be something that can be checked off in the same ways as checking off whether or not properties are required in each deal stage.

We've previously solved a similar challenge by clearing properties using workflows when they reach certain deal stages, thus requiring users to refill previously filled out required properties, but its usually quite an overkill

People want to add values to properties or check if the property values are the righ ones or change them if not.
