Ability to Remove or Hide Default Properties in Specific Contact / Deal Views
In HubSpot, certain default contact properties — such as Contact Owner, Create Date, Last Activity Date, and Lead Status — are automatically included and cannot be removed from specific contact views. It only allows adding properties, but won't remove the default ones. (Red Box = Default; Yellow Highlight (Can be Customized))
This can be limiting when teams want to create customized views that only include the properties that are relevant. For instance, marketing teams may not need to see Lead Status or Last Activity Date, while sales teams may want to focus on deal-specific or custom properties. The inability to hide default properties results in unnecessary clutter and confusion.
Proposed Solution: Allow users to hide or remove default properties from specific saved views in the Contacts/Deals object. This should not affect the global record settings — just the visibility of those properties within the customized view.
Benefits:
Streamlined contact views tailored to different teams or roles.
Maintains flexibility while preserving access to default data when needed.
This would significantly improve customization capabilities within HubSpot and help users work more efficiently based on their specific goals and responsibilities.
