I've now learned that ARR for multi-year deals will not populate in Hubspot accurately due to their constraints on line items.
We have a deal where we added two line items:
1. first line item: 50,000 billed yearly, start date: 6/30/2023
2. second line item: 75,000 billed yearly, start date: 6/30/2024
Ideally, the ARR would reflect 50,000 in the first year, and 75,000 in the second year. This is not what's happening.
Instead, Hubspot just combines the line items into one year, regardless of the dates, which leads to inaccurate reporting.
This is major oversight, multi-year deals are common in many industries and our sales team shouldn't have to make multiple "deal" objects for one contract.
Please please look into this. We're reconsidering using Hubspot as a sales CRM due to these reporting issues.
