2FA using emails

Hi,

I would like to have the email (work email) as an option when setting up the 2FA.

I strongly support this idea. HS needs to add some other way to authenticate besides cellphone.  In our small company we already have a user who refuses to use their personal cellphone for business purposes, and we have one user who does not have a cellphone at all, I can imagine how often this happens in bigger companies.

I also support this!

I agree with @CHeski

We aren't allowed to use mobiles in the office and even if we did, its unfair to ask employees to connect their personal phone number to corporate software.

I also strongly support this idea and request HS to implement this ASAP. Most of us who use HS do so for our work/employer so it should allow 2FA to connect to a business email as well - not everyone has a company issued mobile device (e.g. cellphone) to download an app. Also, we have multiple team members who need to access our HS account - it's impractical and inconvenient to ask another co-worker for the authentication code, especially if they are not available at the time. Other organizations similar to HS allow the email client to be used as a 2nd factor authentication.

Another solution is needed besides cellphones as I have employees who can't use HubSpot as a result of their limitations because HubSpot does not support sending SMS to their country or they dont own a smartphone that can utilize the applications. Being that the world is becoming more and more a global economy than ever before, at minimum HubSpot needs to expand that any country can receive an SMS with the authentication code.

ABSOLUTELY AGREE with @SharonL8. This is 100% correct - we have several Outlook email boxes that multiple employees monitor/manage (i.e. Orders, Support, etc). We view the emails their and then log them approriately in HS and respond from HS. But now, without email 2FA, I can't have mulitple users managing/monitoring those boxes. Totally unacceptable. Further, you support Text 2FA, so why not email?

Again, this is MY DATA, not yours. I should be able to manage it AS I WANT. Give us the options and let us choose. Period. You're a service provider, act like it.

Agreed, this is needed as many workplaces don't provide phones but they do provide emails. Also for accessibility reasons, email is useful.
