Sending Form Submission Email to Submitter (Visitor)
Hi all!
At today's webinar about new Hubspot Form enhancements that are coming soon (be sure to check it out!), I saw a few requests for being able to send a copy of the Form Submission to the contact who submitted the Form.
I have used enough other Form builders to know this can be just a simple checkbox (yes/no) to perform this activity automagically from the form builder. But it is not a setting in Hubspot Forms at this time.
However, it can be accomplished with Automated Emails and Workflows. Here's one of mine:
I have a Workflow that is looking for visitors to submit a Demo Request Form. That's the trigger = submitted the demo form. One of the fields on the demo form asks how many users the company has (because we have a minimum # of users we can work with.)
When the User Count is lower than our minimum, there's a branch in the Workflow for these submissions. It says, Delay for 10 minutes (giving Hubspot time to fully process that submission and contact record), then send an email to the Submitter and also send an Internal Email to the team letting them all know about this Low User Count Submission:
The email being sent to the Submitter can be built and styled like any Marketing Email in Hubspot with important difference that it is saved for Automation.
Within this email a Personalization Token is used to reference the number of users they said on the Form. Many other tokens could be added and the style can be whatever you want it to be. Just remember to save the email for Automation.
Here's a less styled example of an automated email with many personalization tokens:
So, while not a simple task, certainly a very customizable work around to send both the submitter an email and your internal team an email. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have questions!
