Receiving error in practical exercise

SOLVE

Some of our users are working on receiving their Service Hub Software Certification through the HubSpot Academy. While completing the practical exercises, they are receiving the attached errors. Can you advise why this error is happening (or how to get past it)? At this time, these users don't have permissions to perform some of these actions in our production environment, but we are hoping they can go through completing the certification since we believed this was just a learning/test environment.

Receiving error in practical exercise

SOLVE

Hello @BRobertson8 ,

Thank you for reaching out to the academy community page! I'm happy to help out with this. Unfortunately the user would need the correct permissions to complete the course even though it is through the academy. If the user has the correct permissions and are still getting the issue can you try a few

troubleshooting steps:

1. First, make sure your browser is up to date with the latest version - sometimes a software update can resolve odd behavior issues.

2. Try logging into your portal in your browser's incognito or private browsing mode. This will rule out any potential caching issues. https://knowledge.hubspot.com/website-pages/clear-your-browser-cache

If it ends up being a browser cache issue, here are some instructions on how to clear your cache:

3. If the problem persists, try logging into your portal using a different browser. This will tell us if the issue is related to any settings or add-ons in your current browser. If you don't have another browser currently installed on your computer, you can download one here: https://browsehappy.com

4. If that fails, try logging in from a different computer to rule out any settings on your current computer.

5. If that fails, try connecting to a different network - some networks have their own security settings and firewalls that will hamper the performance of certain websites.

Thank you!

Anissa

Receiving error in practical exercise

SOLVE

This is helpful, thank you Anissa! Maybe a thought for the future on these tutorials - it would be awesome if people could complete the full practical exercise in more of a staging or training environment, that way they don't need these permissions initially, and can still go through the exercise without needing to alter live information in our production environment.

I appreciate your help!
