Hi!

Thank you for your response. Ok i have resubmitted it with keeping the host as myself. I did try that 2 days ago and it got rejected/failed and i had to keep trying to figure out how to work around it. If it gets rejected again, then I'll try creating a new account and making that the host. But that is a pretty frustrating and dumb workaround, I should be able to either change the host or have you guys manually pass me on that practice excercise so that I can finally do the exam at the end after 4 days of being stuck here...

Thanks.

Hi @AChretien2,

Thank you for reaching out!

I’m tagging @APernell from our Academy team here to ensure you're getting the assistance you require here.

The error message you are seeing is technically correct, even if your personal calendar is connected. When you try to change the host to another user (for example, a dummy user you created for the course), HubSpot checks if that specific user has connected their own Google or Outlook calendar to HubSpot.

For the purpose of passing the Sales Hub Software Certification practical exercise, the system usually checks that the action (scheduling a meeting) was completed, rather than requiring a specific host change unless explicitly stated.

Instead of changing the host to another user, leave your own name selected in the "Host" field.

If the exercise specifically requires a Round-Robin or Group link:

You will need a second real email address.

Create a new user in your portal using that second email.

Log in as that new user (in a different browser or Incognito window).

Connect that second user's calendar (Google/Outlook).

Then you will be able to select them as a host.

Would you be able to try scheduling the meeting with yourself as the host and let us know if the certification accepts it?
